This is a "Special Topic" available as part of our home winemaking lesson plan. Our private instruction lesson plans are instruction only.  They do not include beverage/food production on site or any beverage/food handling. 

Barrel Usage and Care

*PRE-REQUISITE REQUIRED - Before we will accept an appointment for this lesson, the student should first complete the Lesson 5 on Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Sulfiting.  A complete understanding of sulfite use and good sanitation practices are needed for success with a barrel.  The student should also have some winemaking experience.

Approximate lesson time: 40-60 minutes
