  • Alpha Acids & Crop Year: We print the alpha acid percentage and crop year on the hop package. Alpha acid levels will vary within a general range indicated above. Crop year is the year of harvest. When pelletized and stored in oxygen-barrier bags at cold temperatures to reduce oxidation, hops can remain in good condition for 3 to 4 years.

  • Notes: Wai-iti is a new hop from New Zealand with high aromatic oil content. It was developed by New Zealand Plant and Food Research with release from the New Zealand Hop breeding Programme in 2011. The low alpha acid and cohumulone content will help avoid bitterness and astringency, while the high level of oils will fill out the aroma with intensity. This hop is a great way to mix things up in your New England style IPAs and West Coast Pale Ales.
