Wine Barrel Stain - Depro® Lazurex Viti

"Wine-Red" Barrel Stain from Diproma Viti in France is a very attractive, high protection wood stain which helps you mask and limit wine mess around your barrel bung hole and sides. It is aroma-free, food safe, and easy to clean up.

How to apply the stain?

Apply the barrel stain with a wide and flat bristle brush or roller. It is a water based product and is easy to clean up while wet.

Will it resist mold growth better than raw wood?

Yes, it helps to considerably limit mold strain growth.

Does it come off around the bung-hole if you steam the barrel?

The Lazurex is naturally absorbed by the wood. There should not be an issue with steam.

Storage Recommendations

12 months un-opened. Once the can is open, it must be stored away from heat and light and if the lid is still sealed, you may store it upside down to prevent the water solvents from evaporating.

After prolonged storage of a new can (+ 1 year), a film may be present when you open the can. Please break the film and mix the gel thoroughly before use.

How many barrels can be painted/stained with a 1 liter bucket?

1 coat: about 15 to 20 barrels

2 coats: about 10 to 15 barrels
