  • Alpha Acids & Crop Year: We print the alpha acid percentage and crop year on the hop package. Alpha acid levels will vary within a general range indicated above. Crop year is the year of harvest. When pelletized and stored in oxygen-barrier bags at cold temperatures to reduce oxidation, hops can remain in good condition for 3 to 4 years.
  • Hop Form: Type 90 Pellets
  • Smells Like: Tropical fruit such as papaya and guava, citrus such as lime and grapefruit, apples and pears, melon, berries.
  • Best Suited For: Use for its extremely high aromatic potential. Not recommended for use in bittering due to the potential for co-humulone astringency.
  • About: Ekuanot® is a registered trademark owned by Yakima Chief Hops, LLC. This hop was commercially released in 2014 under the name Equinox, but the name was later changed due to a trademark issue. Its high oil content (favoring myrcene and humulene in particular) makes it a good candidate for late, whirlpool, or dry hop additions.
