A04 Barbarian Ale Yeast from Imperial Yeast
Excellent yeast strain for any hop forward beers. Wonderfully suited for juicy, hazy New England IPAs. Commonly referred to as the conan yeast strain, it's ready to attack your IPA. Barbarian produces stone fruit esters that work great when paired with citrus hops. Barbarian will give you what you need for an exceptionally balanced IPA, leaving a nice round and full bodied mouthfeel.

    Imperial Yeast provides a yeast cell count of about 200 billion, which is a proper pitching rate for nearly all five gallon batches. These packages contain twice the amount of yeast as Wyeast or White Labs, and that means better fermentations without the need for a starter.

    A great yeast with clean hop flavor for juicy and hazy beers. May flocculate a bit more than desired for hazy than some alternatives. 1 pkg for 5 gallons or 2 for 10 starts quickly with no need for a starter as long as the yeast is room temperature. If you need more haze then increase your hop quantity especially at whirlpool and dry hop.
