This one-session All-Grain Brewing Class course will cover the basics of brewing, mashing, and fermentation. Your instructor will demonstrate brewing a 5-gallon all-grain batch of ale using a gravity flow all-grain brewery, while discussing recipe design, brewing math, and sanitation. Each student will get a copy of Brewing Quality Beers by Byron Burch.
John Arends has been an avid homebrewer in Sonoma County for 25 years. Long before homebrewing kits were common place Christmas gifts, he mastered the art of homebrewing after a few failed attempts. This led him to educate himself on the intricacies of brewing. He was an eager student, who quickly developed award-winning recipes. Over the years, John has become well-known in Sonoma County, mentoring many who explored an interest in learning more. He’s won numerous regional and national competitions through the years and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others.
