Beer Style: A copper colored ale originating in Middle Age monastaries, Belgian Dubbel is moderately strong in both alcohol and flavor intensity with hints of cloves, chocolate, dried fruit & cookies.

Dominant Ingredients and Characteristics: Dark Candi Syrup and CaraVienne & Special B Malts add layers of carmel, fruit, chocolate & toffee while Trappist yeast brings more fruit & spice.

How to Use

Equipment Needed:

Wort production system for 5 gallons of wort.
A stirring paddle or spoon.
Primary fermentor of at least 7 gallon capacity and a lid.
A 5 gallon bottle (secondary fermentor).
Fermentation lock and stopper(s) for fermentors.
Siphon assembly for transfers.
Beer bottles and caps for 5 gallons, or kegs for 5 gallons.
Bottle/keg brush, cleaner, and sanitizer.
Optional but recommended: Wort chiller
Optional but recommended: Hydrometer & test jar

Seawolf Belgian Dubble. Been waiting for this recipe for years. My first visit to Belgium in 1982 I had my first Chimay. Hope my brewing attempts come even close. I'm sure with the Beverage People's know how at making all grain kits this should be fabulous.
