In this class you will learn the basics of making fruit wine at home. We will discuss fruit choices, fruit preparation, testing of sugar and acid levels, types of sugars, adjusting sugar and acid levels, yeast choices, fermentation, sulfiting and aging. In addition, during class we will be making a fruit wine of the instructor's choice. Class is on Saturday, July 20th, 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Class fee is $55.00.
The instructor is Joe Hanson-Hirt, a familiar advisor to any of our retail store customers. Joe is The Beverage People's manager of both Merchandising and Manufacturing, and has worked several years of harvest seasons at the shop consulting with our customers while actively engaged in our beverage hobbies at home.
