This yeast strain is more flocculent and less attenuative than GY001 which means it will create a clear beer with some residual sweetness. It is known for a fruitiness reminiscent of stone fruits. Excellent for full bodied, malt forward beers. Try it out on a Brown, Porter, Amber, Pale/IPA, or even Stout.

How to Use

GigaYeast provides a minimum yeast cell count of 200 billion, which is a proper pitching rate for nearly all five gallon batches. These packages contain twice the amount of yeast as Wyeast or White Labs, and that means better fermentations without the need for a starter.
