Of the great Old World beers, pilsner is actually one of the youngest, dating only to about 1842. Enjoyed with some variations the world over, our recipe for this classic beer reflects the golden color, rich body, and fragrant hops characteristic of the original. Very refreshing. How to Use

Equipment Needed:

Wort production system for 5 gallons of wort.
A stirring paddle or spoon.
Primary fermentor of at least 7 gallon capacity and a lid.
A 5 gallon bottle (secondary fermentor).
Fermentation lock and stopper(s) for fermentors.
Siphon assembly for transfers.
Beer bottles and caps for 5 gallons, or kegs for 5 gallons.
Bottle/keg brush, cleaner, and sanitizer.
Optional but recommended: Wort chiller
Optional but recommended: Hydrometer & test jar

Materials/Ingredients

8 lb. Light Base Malt

2 oz. Malto-dextrin powder

14 oz. 2-Row Pale Malt

1 oz. White Wheat Malt

1 oz. Belgian Caravienne Malt

Brewing Salts

PicoZinc™ Beer Yeast Nutrient for 5 Gallons

1/2 oz. Northern Brewer (7.0%) (60 Minutes) (14 IBU)

1/2 oz. Perle (5.3%) (3 Minutes) (1.9 IBU)

OPTIONAL FOR BOTTLING: 5 oz. Corn Sugar for Priming

1 Pack GigaYeast GY030 American Lager Yeast

How to Return Goods for Refund

All our supplies are guaranteed for one year. Request for refunds occurring more than 30 days after the date of purchase on non-defective goods may be granted as a store credit if the goods are returned in their original condition. Yeast is perishable and should be refrigerated on arrival. No refunds are allowed on sales of living organisms such as yeast and bacteria.

Should have known better than to try a lager. Every thing else went smoothly except the temperature issues with layering w/o a fermentation chamber.
